Gov Uba Sani of Kaduna State has pledged his administration commitment in ensuring a cleaner and healthy citizens.

The Gov restated this during the launching of the state environment cleaning exercise tagged operation TSAPTA held at Murtala Mohammad Square in Kaduna.

He said the launching was meant to advance our resolve to build a cleaner, healthier, and more liveable Kaduna State,

Gov Uba Sani said the initiative represents a deliberate and structured intervention in environmental sanitation, public health, and sustainable urban management, responding to the pressures created by rapid urbanisation, population growth, and expanding economic activity across our communities.

According to him,Operation TSAPTA is founded on collaboration and shared responsibility.

It brings together the 23 Local Government Councils, the Ministry for Local Government Affairs, and the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources in a coordinated framework that prioritises efficiency, accountability, and sustainability.

He explained that its initial phase focuses on four Local Government Areas facing acute environmental stress, supported by the deployment of modern waste management infrastructure, including Roro bins, dustbins, water tankers, and appropriate protective equipment to safeguard workers and enhance service delivery.

The Governor said beyond environmental improvement, the programme advances the state human development agenda.

More than 5,000 women and young people have already been engaged, with an additional 7,000 to be recruited in the coming months, expanding lawful employment opportunities while strengthening civic responsibility.

He maintained that Operation TSAPTA affirms that environmental stewardship and economic inclusion are mutually reinforcing goals for Kaduna State, and essential to sustainable, people-centred governance systems.
