Let’s Make Zaria Great: Jaga undertook an extensive schedule of Official and Administrative engagements.

18th January 2026. The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council undertook a series of community engagements marked by moments of joy and solemn reflection, in line with his commitment to remain close to the people at all times.

The Chairman attended the wedding Fatiha of Husaini Muazu and Sa’adatu, as well as that of Yahaya and Hauwa, both held at Unguwar Liman, Zaria. He congratulated the couples and their families, offering prayers for Allah (SWT) to bless the marriages with love, mutual understanding, peace, and lasting harmony.

Following the wedding ceremonies, the Chairman proceeded on condolence visits to sympathize with families who recently lost their loved ones.

The visits included

:1.The family of Malam Kabiru Z. Gidan Jisambon Zazzau , Anguwan Bishar, Kaura Ward, Zaria.

2.The family of Malam Labaran Jibril Gidan Gwari, Anguwan Bishar, Kaura ward, Zaria.

3.The family of the late Malam Abdullahi Majzubi, Gyallesu, Zaria.

4.The family of the late Malam Sani Mai , Pampon Gwaiba, Tudun Wada Ward , Zaria.

5.The family of Alhaji Ahmed, Bayan Cinema, Tudun Wada, Zaria.

6.The family of Malam Muhammad Babarbare, Layin Radio,Zaria.

7.The family of Malam Salisu, Layin Lemu, Tudun Wada, Zaria.

During the condolence visits, the Chairman prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy upon the departed souls and asked Allah (SWT) to grant the bereaved families strength, patience, and comfort during their time of grief.

Later in the evening, accompanied by the first lady of the local government Hajiya Hauwa’u Ibrahim Yakubu, the Chairman resumed official duties at the Secretariat, where he hosted a landmark interactive forum tagged “An Evening with Zaria 001” at the Secretariat Chamber.

A statement signed by Ishaq Galadima the chief press secretary to the chairman said the first-of-its-kind engagement provided an open platform for interaction with members of the management team, top political appointees, and aides of the Local Government, focusing on governance, service delivery, and developmental priorities.

The session lasted until after 10:00 p.m.

Following the event, the Chairman returned to his office and continued consultations and official engagements with individuals and groups on issues of governance and community development until after 12:00 midnight.

The Chairman reaffirmed that standing with the people of Zaria in both moments of happiness and sorrow remains a core responsibility of his leadership, while praying for continued unity, peace, and compassion across the local government area.
