Friday 16th January,2026. The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), on behalf of his Boss, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D, GCON (Iyan Zazzau), presented a cheque of Twenty Million Naira (₦20,000,000) to the Danmagaji Jumu’at Masjid Committee.
The intervention is intended to support the comprehensive renovation of the mosque, as part of the Speaker’s continued commitment to religious institutions and community development across Zaria and its environs.
In continuation of his people-focused engagements, the Chairman attended the wedding ceremony of Yahaya Abdullahi Babi and his bride, Zulaihat Muhammad, held at Gidan Mai Tantabara, Kusfa, Limancin Kona Ward, Zaria.
A statement signed by Ishaq Galadima Chief press secretary office of the chairman said the presence of the chairman at the event reflected the administration’s tradition of identifying with the people and sharing in their moments of joy.
Thereafter, the Chairman held a series of engagements with individuals on issues relating to development, community advancement, and inclusive governance, further reaffirming his openness to constructive dialogue and grassroots-driven initiatives.
These engagements highlighted the Chairman’s steadfast commitment to effective representation, community cohesion, and sustainable development, while also reflecting the impactful leadership and support of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D, GCON (Iyan Zazzau). The Zaria Local Government Council remains resolute in its mission to deliver meaningful progress and improve the welfare of its people.
