The Zamfara North Development Association paid a courtesy visit to the Commander Headquarters 1 Brigade Brig Gen M Jimoh.
The team was received by the Chief of Staff Col IAM Enemakwu at the Brigade Headquarters Gusau Zamfara state.
The team leader Alh Yakubu Sani Haidara (mni) who is the Head of Service Zamfara State in his remarks commend the efforts of the Commander and the troops of 1 Brigade Nigerian Army in ensuring peace and normalcy is returning to the state.
Furthermore he said the purpose of the visit is to formally extend their Goodwill, strengthen mutual understanding and also discuss areas of collaboration aimed at enhancing community security and peace building across Zamfara North and the state at large.
He added by saying, they consider the Nigerian Army a critical partner in ensuring the safety and stability necessary for sustainable Community development.
He continued by soliciting for more support of the military in Zamfara North and prayed for the Commander and his men to continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and public safety.
The Commander Headquarters 1 Brigade Brig Gen M Jimoh in his remarks applauded the team leader and his entourage for their visit.
He assured the Team of the military efforts in ensuring the good people of Zamfara state are secured.
He added that the success of the operations can be more fruitful with the civil aid to the military by sharing any useful intelligence information about the banditry and criminal elements within the Communities and urged them to sensitise members of the community especially the youth in sharing vital intelligence information.
A statement signed by Captain Yusuf Mohammed, Assistant Director Army public relations, 1 brigade Nigerian army Gusau said highlights of the visit include presentation of souvenirs, signing of visitors’ books and a group Photograph.
