The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr.Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), participated in the Kaduna State Local Government Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) meeting for December 2025, a key statutory engagement that focuses on fiscal coordination, transparency, and effective resource management across local governments in the state.
The technical session of the meeting was chaired by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos.
It brought together critical stakeholders, including the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Dr. Mahmud Lawal, the 23 Local Government Council Chairmen, their Finance and Budget Deputies, directors of the ministry, and representatives from SUBEB, RUWASSA, the Office of the Accountant General, the Primary Health Care Board (PHCB), the Pension Bureau, and the Local Government Service Board.
Held at the Senator Uba Sani Conference Hall, Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Kaduna State, the meeting provided a platform to review statutory allocations, address financial responsibilities, and align spending priorities with grassroots development needs.

Decisions and resolutions from the JAAC meeting are expected to directly enhance service delivery in Zaria, particularly in education, healthcare, water supply, workers’ welfare, and ongoing development projects, ensuring that public funds translate into tangible benefits for the people.
This engagement underscores the Chairman’s continuous commitments to position Zaria Local Government on a strong footing of transparent governance and sustainable community development.
