The First Lady of Zamfara State, Her Excellency, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has provided medical support to patients receiving treatment at the Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau, as part of her end of year humanitarian outreach.
During the visit, patients admitted and receiving care at the hospital were given support of ₦150,000 each to assist in settling their medical bills and to help ease other financial challenges.
The First Lady stressed the importance of compassion and care for the sick, noting that supporting vulnerable members of society remains a central focus of her humanitarian initiatives and aligns with the state government’s commitment to improving the welfare of its citizens.
A statement signed by Rabi Yusuf, press secretary office of the first lady said, Hajiya Huriyya also offered prayers for the speedy recovery of the patients and reassured them of the government’s continued concern and support for their wellbeing.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Her Excellency for the timely intervention, describing the gesture as thoughtful, compassionate and impactful.
