The Chairman, Zaria Local Government Council, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hajiya Hafsat Iliyasu of the Gyallesu Community, who died today at the age of 65 and was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.
In a condolence message, the Chairman described the late Hajiya Hafsat Iliyasu as a responsible, dedicated, and highly respected mother whose life was defined by humility, compassion, and strong moral values. Her passing, he noted, is a great loss not only to her immediate family but also to the entire Gyallesu community.
She is survived by her husband and eleven children, among whom is the Gyallesu Ward APC Chairman, Shagari Usman Sani, who also serves as Special Assistant to the Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Leather and Science Technology (NILEST), Zaria.
The Chairman acknowledged her remarkable role in nurturing disciplined and responsible individuals who continue to contribute meaningfully to society and community development.
On behalf of the government and people of Zaria Local Government Area, the Chairman extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, and the entire Gyallesu community.
A statement signed by Ishaq Galadima, Chief Press Secretary office of the Chairman said the chairman also prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives her shortcomings, grants her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, and gives her family and loved ones the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
