Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State and Chairman, North Central Governors Forum, has said that as the country inches towards the 2027 general election, the Tinubu/Shettima team is unbeatable.
Governor Sule stated this while delivering a welcome address on behalf of the governors of the zone, at a grand reception organized to welcome Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jos.
According to the Governor, with the entire North Central now in the folds of the ruling party, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s reelection come 2027 is further reassured.
“Today we are very happy in the North Central. We are complete. Kwara, Kogi are APC. Niger, Plateau, APC. Nasarawa, Benue, APC. We strongly believe that my brother, Barrister Calep Manasseh Muftwang, has made the right choice by joining us in the APC.
“Today, we can say everywhere you go, in Plateau, Kogi, Niger, Benue, Kwara and Nasarawa, it’s all APC. With this development and more, our President Ahmed Bola Tinubu will win his election easily here on the Plateau,” he stated.
Governor Sule said politicians are trooping into the APC because of their conviction in Team Tinubu/Shettima, stressing that there is no team yet that can beat that of the ruling APC. “We are all here because we strongly believe that we have an excellent team, the Tinubu/Shettima team.
There is no team that can beat that. We understand that in the North Central. We will witness more successes come 2027,” he said.
In his remarks during the event, National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, described the occasion as a turning point for the people of Plateau State.
The APC national chairman assured that, out of the previous disappointments of the people of the state, a new horizon would emerge to usher in peace and prosperity.
“By the grace of God, 2026 is going to be a great year, it is going to be a more glorious year, it’s going to be when the cankerworms and caterpillars that have destroyed Plateau State will be fought to a standstill and we will witness again a new regime of peace and prosperity.
“I pledged that you will never be disappointed. We will never turn our backs on the people, we will protect the Plateau heritage,” he said.
On his part, Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, described the event as historic, ushering the state on a journey of redefining the political demographics of Nigeria.”Today, we have began a journey that would reposition Plateau as a most win state in future elections.
“Today, I am persuaded that the people of Plateau State, with whom we have found favour, are agreeing with us that we will support President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for reelection in 2027,” he said.
The reception which was held at the Jos Polo Field, had in attendance the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and some progressive governors, senators, party leaders, and supporters from across the country
