The attention of the Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government has been drawn to a letter currently circulating on social media, falsely alleging that he authorized the removal of NITEL underground cables.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Chairman wishes to categorically state that he has no knowledge of such a letter and has never granted authorization to anyone for such an act. To the best of his knowledge, this matter has never been discussed at any time by the Zaria Local Government Council.

Accordingly, the Chairman completely dissociates himself from the purported directive. He has directed the immediate arrest of the individuals or company involved in this unlawful activity. Furthermore, a thorough investigation has been ordered, and anyone found culpable will face the full weight of the law.
